Vacks is an app that makes it easier to order snacks at cinema.
Project overview
The problem:
Snacks and cinema are two inseparable things, as users like to munch on some snacks while watching a movie at the cinema, but the problem of waiting in a long queue and missing a movie scene to grab snacks do frustrate users
The goal:
Our Snacks ordering App will let users place snacks order anytime which will affect users who are in haste or don’t want to miss a movie scene by letting user skip the in-store order line and saving them.
User research: summary
User research was conducted at the early stage of the design which makes understanding the problem from user perspective easier, after the digital wireframe has been designed, usability testing was conducted to know if the design conforms with the user needs.

Problem statement:
Bolanle is a 52-year-old writer in Ilorin, she’s divorced with two teenage kids, and she enjoys going to the cinema after Sunday service with her kids to relax. This is one of the activities she enjoys doing with her kids.

Digital Wireframes
The image gives the user a clear picture of the menu also the details and price makes the user know what the user is about to order.
The promo banner will make it easy for users to get available combo bonus, this banner can also be use to advertise or showcase a new menu
The category session will make navigation easy since all snacks are categorised user won’t spend much time to order a snacks

The high-fidelity prototype has a cleaner version of the design and its user flow for ordering a snacks at cinema.

Accessibility considerations
A search bar is included which have a voice typing, and also a screen reader that makes it easy for people that are visually impaired to use the app.
Carefully color selection and contrast improves users visibility.

This design will make having fun a full package for a movies viewer at the cinema.

What I learned:
Conducting user research and usability testing I have come to realize that, bias is a big obstacle a designer should be conscious of and try to do away with it.
